Our 68RFE Performance Heavy Tow/Street Transmission, crafted by veterans, is engineered to manage the heaviest loads throughout the week and to match the performance of more aggressively tuned trucks on weekends. Designed to support up to 700 horsepower, this 68RFE transmission includes extra overdrive clutches, a Billet Triple Disc Converter, Billet Flexplate, Billet Input Shaft, and numerous enhancements that surpass the original OEM specifications for 6.7L Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks.
2019-2021
The 68RFE transmission was the first transmission that was designed exclusively for Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks. Released by Chrysler in 2007, 68RFE transmissions were engineered for the increased torque of diesel engines with modified internal components and came equipped with a much larger bell housing compared to that of the former Dodge 545RE transmissions. The overdrive clutch is widely known for its common failures within the 68RFE transmission unit. Each of Veteran's Powertrain Performance built 68RFE transmissions address overdrive clutch failure along with other common issues through several upgrades including providing extra clutch capacity with additional overdrive clutches.
